Pastor Andrew McKeown Who are you and where are you from? My name is Andrew McKeown and my wife, Andrea, and I moved from Sydney to Perth in April 2005 to take up the position of Pastor for Swan Christian Fellowship in Bellevue. I was born and raised in Sydney and Andrea is from North West Tasmania.Have you always been a Pastor? No. I am a printer by trade. I worked in the printing industry for 21 years. I studied for three years at Sydney Missionary and Bible College graduating with a Bachelor of Ministries degree. Do you have any children? Yes. My wife and I have two boys, Owen, born in November 2003 and Braydon, born in November 2005. Braydon was born here, in Perth, which makes him the only “fair dinkum” West Australian in the family. Do you have a favourite football team? Being from Sydney I am a supporter of the South Sydney Rabbitohs Rugby League team. Since moving to Perth I have become a member of the Western Force Rugby Union. My wife is a supporter of the Kangaroos (AFL). What hobbies or sport do you participate in? Since the summer of 1982/83 I have enjoyed going surfing as often as I am able. I ride an 8 foot long Malibu surfboard. What are you passionate about? I am passionate about serving God in everything I do in my life. I particularly enjoy teaching the Bible both through preaching and in teaching small group Bible studies. I would love to see more people in relationship with Him. I am also passionate about my wife and boys! |
